My Chosen Design & First Practice
After a long deliberation I chose to go with design 2 for my final design, I chose this after practicing all of my designs, writing out lists on how to do them and by thinking about which one looked the most effective and also which one meant the most to me. I believe this is the most visually exciting design, it went best with my face shape and is also completely different to anything anyone else is doing in class, I also think it portrays the darkness of Elizabeth the best.
Today my partner got to practice my design for the first time and I have took some photographs of how she recreated my work.
Overall I am happy with how she has recreated my look, however I do still think there could be room for improvement as she hasn't quite re-created what I was looking for. The things I like about how she has recreated my makeup is I like how pale and flawless she has got the base, but it would like it to be more dewy, this wont be a problem though because she didn't have the right products to create this, and I will bring my Lumi Magique primer in so she can mix this with the foundation to get this. The small things that I think she needs to improve on is, that the eyeshadow needs to be deeper to give it a darker effect, the contour needs to be a bit more subtle and blended as I believe on the photo it is just a little bit too harsh, however this might be good when photographing the work as it will show up under the harsh lights, and the colour of the lipstick needs more black in. I have fed all this back to my make-up artist and expressed that I was happy with what she had created, and I do believe with the finishing touches like eyelashes, the right primer and a little bit of fix plus that the look will be how I want it to be.
