Self Evaluation

 

These are my final images of my application of Jennifer's design during the timed assessment. I was very lucky with how this makeup came out on my final try as I didn't have a lot of practice. I am pleased with how symmetrical I got the design as this is something that I struggled with in my practices, I think it looks neat. I am also very pleased with my eyeliner and eyelash application because they sat perfectly against the lash line and this is something I find hard to do under time restraints. I think my time management skills for this makeup was really good as I had enough time for finishing touches and also to do two quick braids in the hair. However, the things that didn't go very well was the fact that I did not powder round the black adequately, so there was a lot of fallout, this contaminated my brushes and got spread round the face which was an absolute nightmare to get off the face. I also think the contour on the face could be a lot stronger. If I was to do this design again I would focus on these things, I have really learnt what a nightmare it is to work with white on a pale base, however I am pleased with the outcome keeping in mind that I only got to practice the design twice.
