I believe that during these weeks I have learnt some valuable skills, although I have studied makeup for 2 years prior to doing this course. I have learnt new techniques of how to apply makeup and how to use different products. When starting this course I was using similar products to what I used in my previous course, however It was hard adapting to a new set of brushes. I really enjoyed the contouring lesson and the eye and lip session, I really liked the approach on how to contour by feeling round the face as it made it look really natural, however I found it quite hard because I don't feel like I have the right brushes. One of the things that I really struggled on in this technical unit was cleansing toning and moisturising, although this is something I am very comfortable with we had to do it standing behind them and doing it by looking in the mirror, as this was the first time that I did this and my depth perception was all out, so this is something that I will have to practice. Overall I believe that doing all of these technical lessons has been really beneficial to me, I have learnt to get out of some of my set routines on how I do makeup and have learnt new techniques that have turned out to be a lot easier than the ones I first learnt, and overall I now have a better understanding of makeup.
